    Seasonal Stockroom Associate


    This position reports directly to the Store Manager
    Position Summary
    The Stockroom Associate is responsible for assisting store management team in providing leadership in stock handling and all aspects of backroom operations. Overall responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring shipment is processed in a timely manner, maintains an effective, productive and organized stockroom area in compliance with safety guidelines, providing excellent service and observing and maintaining all policies and procedures.




     Essential Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
    Shipment Processing:
    • Responsible to ensure shipment is processed to standards within 24 hours of receipt
    • Boxes are neatly and safely stacked, not to impede service
    • Merchandise is matched against a PO and line item received
    • Discrepancies are highlighted on PO and brought to MOD attention same day
    • Process merchandise “all the way down”.  Removing all packaging
    • Sets the example to ensure merchandise is processed quickly and efficiently, maximizing productivity
    • Work in conjunction with MOD throughout shift to ensure shipments are replenished on the sales floor before designated to the stockroom
    • Ensure that boxes are broken down and all trash is staged neatly 
    • Ensure customer service standards are upheld on the selling floor during processing
    Stockroom Maintenance:
    • Maintain clean neat and organized stockroom
    • Merchandise is grouped with like items to together, using rubber bands and containers when necessary to keep stock organized
    • Using the Master Sku list, merchandise is to be grouped by table and then by dept. Stockroom product is required to shift with floor moves.
    • Cards and Envelopes back and understock stock is clearly separated and can replenished to the sales floor with ease
    • Report compliance to stockroom markdowns and reticketing to management team
    • Merchandise is protected against damage when necessary
    • Fixtures are grouped with like items together and organized
    • Store supplies are staged neatly and available for restocking to the sales floor
    • Workshop supplies are neat, organized and at direction of SM or purged monthly
    • Participate in maintenance of break room and restroom standards
    • Work with MOD throughout shift to ensure the sales floor is fully restocked
    • Before merchandise is designated to stockroom partner with MOD for agreement
    • Ensure the understock drawers are neat, like items together and are correctly positioned on the sales floor to ensure effective replenishment
    • Maintain Impulse unit back stock
    • Maintain greeting cards back stock



    • High school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of experience in the retail industry
    • Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends as necessary
    • Expert level organization skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to interact and communicate with customers and the store team (at all levels)
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
    • Moving large quantities of merchandise with carts, dollies, hand trucks and ability to climb up and down ladders
    • Standing or walking up to an 8 hour shifts. Bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and performing repetitive motions
